You may wonder how Statement Ghosts are made. Here's a compact answer:

All Statement Ghosts are uniquely hand-built from a lump of ceramic clay excavated from our earth and takes a very long journey to reach its final meaningful and beautiful version.

These soul sculptures are purely hand-built by Gulcin (she/her), i.e. the artist and the solo-preneur behind this brand. She's the creative soul running artwork enterprise, as well as managing this website and the instagram account and packaging, shipping, and even bookkeeping!

Upon handsculpting and occassionally wheel-throwing the ghosts from amorphous clay, these souls are fired in the electric kiln at least twice over 20+ hours and up to 1250°C. So it takes long hours of labor and patience from the idea stage to the finishing of the end product. As a result of this meticulous labor and heat work, they are meant to last for ages and ages. [That's how we still excavate solid ceramic artefacts from the very early ages of human life on earth.] I create each ghost individually using a variety of clays, making a choice among several premium quality ceramics considering what the design and the message behind each soul necessitates. The clay and processes used are indicated in every listing.

I create each Statement Ghost as a depiction of my own and all of our souls to attempt at reflecting the human journey on Earth in this age. They are specifically crafted to resonate with us, the mortals.
